Katelyn Gleason's Biography
Katelyn Gleason Klapper has more than seventeen years experience working in higher education and independent consulting. She brings a variety of college experiences as well as expertise in admissions to her work with students, families and organizations. In addition to managing west coast admissions for Boston University, she worked on the campuses of Bentley College and Worcester Polytechnic Institute and has provided college counseling services to students at Dynamy, a local gap-year program, since 2005. Katelyn also develops curriculum and provides program support for Dynamy’s Youth Academy, an access-to-college program for Worcester public school students. Over her career, she has reviewed thousands of college applications and essays and, in recent years, visited more than 175 college campuses. She has presented numerous college and financial aid planning seminars both to organizations and as part of corporate human resource services. She has spoken at schools on topics of college planning as well as gap-year options. Katelyn graduated from Scripps College, completed graduate courses at Boston University, and holds a certificate in college counseling from UCLA, Extension. She is a member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association, the Higher Education Consultants Association, and the National College Access Network.
